But I found some of the plot frustrating, such as Huck's comedic reverence of Tom Sawyer's ridiculous plans. The King and Duke were freeloading the raft to the point I was questioning why Huck and Jim didn't give them the slip in the many opportunities they had. The use of the n-word and the acceptance of slavery was a sign of the times but tempered by Huck's comradeship. Mark Twain..
